Ford Fiesta ST in the most natural habitat... Or how to show pure fun of driving on photos?

Great products come from a clear vision. Cars are no different. With the Fiesta ST Ford clearly knew what they aim at: to give drivers the maximum joy of driving in an affordable and nimble package. Now, how do you show this on photos?

In search of driving fun

You can’t fully experience the fun of driving a Fiesta ST (or any other performance car for that matter) in the city traffic or on a highway. To do that you need a proper road. A road meant for quick, thrilling driving. A road with… well you know - a clear vision behind it.

Fortunately I found a special road like that. It is a perfect combination of a public road and a full fledged racetrack.

The road

It is a stretch of public road that has been reinforced to be used as a racetrack during European Hill Climb Championship. For the majority of the year the road functions as a regular, public road. Available to anyone.

It is located among beautiful hills and broad valleys near Kraków, Poland, between Stara Wieś and Przełęcz pod Ostrą in Limanowa county.

And it looks like this...

The perfect combination

When I first rolled onto this part of the road I grinned like a baby. It was a pure, childish joy. I couldn’t believe the wide, perfect tarmac and the lovely arcs winding in the mountain forest.

I spent a couple of hours "learning the road" and "searching for the best photo spots". Once I was ready to shoot half of my gas tank was gone…

In a moment like this it all comes together. One can appreciate the level of design and execution. And I mean both - the car and the road! The two equal characters to the story. The Fiesta with its power, suspension and handling… and the not-so-usual road with its perfect tarmac, twists and turns…

The photoshoot

The fact this road is so picturesque is a cherry on top the awesome experience. Photographer and nature-lover in me couldn’t have enough. Climbing on the steep banks of the road to find the best vantage points allowed me to enjoy the forrest, streams and views.

I’m glad this place exists and that I was fortunate enough to experience it in this car. I hope it comes across on the photos :)

PS. Always drive safe 🙏
